In this video, I tested a new version of 3018 CNC which is the 3018 CNC Pro Max. It has an all-metal frame made of Aluminum, 200W spindle. I was able to cut Aluminum a few times faster compared to the previous versions of 3018 CNC. The dimensions of the parts were cut precisely without the need of using compressed air or water mist spray.

In this video I show you what easy projects I came up with for a desk cnc router. The key holder tray and gift box can be done on a 3018 router, the table clock needs a bigger, 3040 (this upgrade can be purchased for 3018 on amazon).
Each project can be personalised, simple and easy projects for a gift or for personal usage.
Here is the list of products I used for each project:
Gift box:
– 6mm birch plywood sheet
– Epoxy with black colouring (bit pricey, but can be used for many small projects):
– Multicolour powder for epoxy resin:
Bamboo key holder/coaster:
– Set of bamboo boards (I’ve used the smaller piece for the key holder and the larger for the table clock):
Table clock:
– Bamboo board: same as for the key holder
– Epoxy resin and colouring powder is the same as for the gift box
– 5mm steel rod for the support of the clock:
– Clock mechanism kit (5 different style, set is enough for 3 clocks):
To finish all of these projects I used tung oil, because it’s 100% natural and non-toxic, perfect finish for your projects if you have children:

Today we find out if a 3018 CNC is capable of machining aluminum! The model I’m using has been upgraded with a 500w spindle kit but the stock spindle on the 3018 CNC is probably also able to machine aluminum, just at slower speeds.

I have been wanting to get my hands on one of these cheap CNC kits for quite some time. It is more of a curiosity, rather than an investment. I want to know what can you get for $200. I have seen these CNC machines on ebay for a long time, but I recently saw a listing on sale for less than $200, so I took the gamble. This is a CNC 3018 Pro from Vevor. In this video I’ll unbox it, assemble it, go through my first impressions and take a few test cuts in various materials. I hope you enjoy the video.
