This project took about 10.5 hours to cut!
Roughed with a 10mm straight cutter
then finished with a 1mm radius tapered ballnose.

A quick demonstration of my custom built cnc plasma table. This table is based off of an open builds ox cnc router. Has a 36 x 48 table and a cut area of 30 x 48. Uses a downdraft ventilation system. Everlast power plasma 60 amp cutter with a machine torch. Floating z axis height switch. Price Cnc AVHC (arc voltage height controller).
I cut as thin as .040 aluminum and have done 1/2 inch steel plate with this machine.

My New GoFabcnc I got Dec 2019 worked great for 2 months !! Then they came out with new software we had to update to ! That software was nothing but junk. torch would come down hit metal, almost breaking my torch. It ended up blowing my 80 amp Plasma cutter, due to contacting metal. Plasma guy, sent me a Brand new one ! I had no choice but to build my own controls After going with MyPlasm board with THC, and Automation Drivers, and 2 48 volt power supplies, and new Z axis, and a new Hypertherm 45XP, It was cutting flawless ! but GoFab table are known for Sawtooth cuts, and I still have that. So I’m building my own table with the best parts out there.

Alan talks about how he built his Home Built CNC bed mill equipped with ClearPath servos and Centroid Acorn CNC controller and got it all running well. Alan tired several other cnc controls systems using Mach3 and Mach4 with alot of frustration and then finally tried the new Centroid Acorn CNC controller in which he had success. He tells his story of his pitfalls so everyone can learn from them. He uses Fusion 360 and Renishaw Probe and Tool Touch off device with the Centroid CNC software running it all.
