Add Air Assist to your Shapeoko 4, Pro, or HDM (https://carbide3d.com/shapeoko). Air Assist keeps debris away from your cutters, extending their life and reliability. This guide gives you a complete parts list as well as install instructions and part files for you to install air on your own machine. Especially if you are cutting metal on a regular basis, this upgrade is something you’ll definitely want to install.

I had long heard (and myself repeated) that drilling on a CNC router was less than ideal. But just how bad is it to drill materials at 10k RPM? That’s what I wanted to find out for myself.
I’m using Short/Stub Length drill bits from McMaster (https://www.mcmaster.com/drills) but there’s nothing special about them. Shop around!
