Next, you want to make sure the plasma cutter you purchase has a vertical torch (aka machine torch). These vertical torches are made specially for CNC tables and are very long (usually 25 foot or longer). Hypertherm sells machines that come with machine torches from the factory, but you can also buy them separate if needed.
Lastly, you’ll want to consider the thickness of the metal you’re planning to cut and speed at which you need. Bigger machines (higher amps) will give you faster cuts and allow you to cut thinker metal. Smaller machines will be more cost effective, but will be slower.
