I wanted to show you guys how easy it is to create a part from an image file on my DIY CNC plasma table. I basically go over all the steps I use to create a CAD file and export that file as a DXF file that SheetCam can use. I use SheetCam to create a G-code that my DIY CNC plasma table can cut from.

I finally got my DIY CNC plasma table up and running. in this video, I go over connecting the Hypertherm power 45 to my DIY CNC plasma table. Also, I still have a few things to finish until the table is done but it is making parts!

Episode 1: The Frame

This is the first episode of my CNC plasma build. I’m trying to do this as a turotial / how to without being to detailed or technical. The outlines of the project is a machine with a cutting area of 1000x500mm, a downdraft table that will double as a grinding table and a standalone CNC-controller. I will do all of the work in my homeshop with mostly regular tools.

Please leave questions in the commentsection and hit that thumbs up and subscribe if you like this content.

Today I Finish up the Water table on my DIY CNC Plasma Table. I Install a shower drain and a plastic barrel to drain the water to and connect them with 1 1/4″ PVC pipe. I also plumb in an air line to lift the water from the plastic barrel to the water table. draining the table takes a little while but filling takes less than 3 mins to fill 40 gallons.
One thing that I’d like to note is that the 2 fittings on this plastic barrel were different. with the way I have the plastic mounted the bottom fitting was 2″ NPT and the top looked to be 2″ 10 TPI. the barrel had a cap that screwed into the barrel that had a 3/4″ NPT tap into the cap. I was surprised that both holes in this barrel were not 2″ NPT.
