This video is about how I went about building my CNC Plasma Cutting Gantry.
Steel Tubing Gantry, Flat bar slat table, water bed, C&CNC controller, Microsoft XP Windows Computer, Parallel and Serial Port Communication, DHC, Arc Voltage Height Control, Hypertherm Plasma Torch. I program it with SheetCam

Here is my prototype portable CNC plasma cutter. It is controlled by an Arduino UNO with GRBL loaded on it. The machine is 2 feet by 2 feet and have a cutting area of 16 inches by 16 inches.

Machine, kit, and plan available on my website http://dacsgarage.com

First attempt at milling steel. Using 2.2kW Chinese spindle is not ideal for milling steel due to high RPM. Using carbide end mills makes it possible as carbide end mills allow higher cutting speed. So, can this router cut steel?
