In this video I will be having a look at the Snapmaker 2.0, a 3-in-1 machine that can do laser engraving, 3D printing and CNC cutting. I will show you how easy it is to assemble, I will try out all of its functions and tell you how well they work and in the end I will tell you my opinion whether I think it is worth its price tag. 3D printing is accessible, but has its drawbacks. CNC milling for most is harder to set up, butoffers great precision at the cost of inefficient and wasteful subtractive manufacturing. What if we 3D print an oversized model, and then mill it down to the final shape, eliminating layer lines and other imperfections? In this video I experiment with this concept on an F1 in Schools wheel.
I think everything was a win apart from the surface finish. More experimentation with spindle rpm, feed rate and cutting depth could yield better results. Also me having more patience with sanding and polishing at the end would surely help too.
Is this all just a waste of time or are there suitable applications?

This video shows the beginner how to make an easy CNC router project from scratch using any CNC router design software. It also lets the beginner know they do not need to be an expert to make projects that sell. Yes, even the beginner can make money with CNC router projects.
The CNC project in this video is a house number sign, designed using Vectric Vcarve Desktop. However, all design software can do this project, including Vectric Cut2d, Easel, Carbide Create, and more.
You will also learn about masking CNC router projects for painting multiple colors using Oramaxk 813. You will learn how to apply the masking and how to remove it.
We will cut the project on the Longmill CNC router (by Sienci Labs) using the gSender control software.
