We designed and built our own DIY homemade industrial grade CNC milling machine to use for personal projects. This homebuilt machine is made from epoxy granite and has an 8 horse power spindle, servo motors all around, and an automatic tool changer. The machine weighs over 3000kg and works perfectly. All designs are my own and 100% original.
We built this machine to help us produce better quality molds for our homemade plastic injection machine. Building this DIY CNC machine at home taught us a lot about milling machines as well as the physics at play, and we hope you find this video enlightening as well.

In this video I use my x-carve CNC machine to carve some 3d wave patterns into some solid soapstone. This is another quick video for my A-Level art project on water waves, that I have nearly finished now.
Even though it is not that well related to my channel I decided to upload it here anyway because I have not released many videos recently.
There are lots of new projects to come, I just need to find the time to edit them!

What’s up guys! Here is a overview video on how I built my CNC plasma cutter. I’m planning on doing several more detailed videos on this subject, but I wanted to start off with a cliffhanger to get some buzz going.

I’m running the controller from Mach3 via a parallel port, and I’m generating my G-code from Fusion360.

All of my hardware was purchased from eBay:
Sain Smart 5 axis CNC breakout board
external drivers
NEMA23 stepper motors (twin shaft)
8MM pillow block bearings
8MM flexible shaft couplers
8MM ACME screw (47″ long)
Steel is 2X2 angle, and 2X2 tubing for the legs, with 3″ swivel casters underneath. I did not build the bed yet, one thing at a time.
