The flagship of GMT’s workholding line is the 6″ double-station cast iron vise. Weighing in at a hefty 110 lbs, this vise securely holds multiple workpieces while damping vibration and eliminating deflection.

The unique leadscrew design allows clamping of different sized workpieces. The fixed center jaw can be removed, and included hardware can be used to fix the front movable jaw, transforming the GDV into a wide-opening single station vise. In the single-station configuration, this vise has a jaw opening of 12.25″.

The hexagonal handle end of the leadscrew is recessed, allowing this vise to mounted on smaller mill tables without risk of enclosure collision. A handle socket extension is included for easy access.

The GDV-620FE comes standard with an extra large polished handle, handle extension, built-in chip guards, 11/16″ T-slot keys, and a set of four toeclamps. Each vise carries a 10-year limited warranty.

CNC milling machine simulator is a multimedia application designed to provide a basic introduction to beginner mechanical engineering professionals with the principles of programming operations for milling parts using a standard (ISO) G-code.

The main task of the application is syntactic analysis of the code of control programs in order to build a graphical model of cutting tool trajectories in three-dimensional space.

The main functions: editing the code of the control programs of the milling machine, operations with files of control programs, setting the geometric parameters of the cutting tool, continuous/step-by-step execution of blocks of control programs, three-dimensional visualization of tool movements in the working space of the machine, simplified visualization of the machined surface of the part, calculation of processing modes, a quick reference guide to using G-code.

CNC milling is a subtractive manufacturing process that removes material from a block of metal or plastic to form a final part. How Does CNC Milling Work?
CNC milling is a subtractive manufacturing process. It starts by fixturing a block of metal or plastic material inside the CNC mill. Using G-code, the CNC machine is programmed to rapidly mill out parts from the block of raw material. Our 3- and 5-axis CNC machines are equipped with various toolsets to maximize efficiency and production speed.

Machined plastic parts are left as-milled, which typically means they show visible tool marks. Some metal parts allow more finishing choices like anodizing and chromate plating. When the run is complete and your required surface finish is applied, parts are boxed and shipped shortly thereafter.
