Head Stock:
The Pipe plasmacutting machine has a unique headstock design. The adjustable three-jaw chuck allows pipe to easily be aligned and centered for cutting. The thermal cutting emissions are exhausted through the chuck and headstock to an industrial-grade fume extraction system. This unique design maximizes productivity and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
The Pipe plasmacutting machine was designed with dust collection in mind. Hornet Cutting Systems and RoboVent deliver complete systems. Together we design, build, install, and maintain systems to provide the convenience and control of a one-stop source. Hornet Cutting Systems contracts with RoboVent to do the collector installation to ensure it’s done right.

Fibre laser tube cutting machine brought a subversive change to the original metal tube industry cutting process. Laser cutting has quickly replaced many traditional and low-efficiency mechanical cutting. Nowadays, laser pipe cutting machines continue to add new functions, such as automatic feeding, clamping, rotation, bevel cutting, suitable for round pipes, square pipes, flat pipes, etc. Laser cutting meets almost all requirements for pipe cutting.

In terms of efficiency, according to a tube cutting manufacturer, a stainless steel tube is cut into sections. The original saw blade metod takes 15 seconds to cut a section of the tube. Now laser cutting is completed in less than 2 seconds, which has increased the efficiency by nearly 10 times. The most important thing is that a saw blade worth hundred dollars is generally worn out after more than 1,000 cuts and needs to be replaced. Laser cutting can almost be regarded as an infinite cutting which can save a lot of costs.

If ya know, ya know! We finally took delivery of our @ShopSabre CNC Sidekick 10 Plasma Cutting table!

For those that don’t know, a plasma cutter is the closest thing we have to an actual lightsaber here on earth. It uses a high-voltage electrical arc to split atoms creating plasma, which is then forced through metal with compressed air in a really tight beam of metal slicing energy. The CNC part, or computer numeric control, is where this technology is taken to the next level. Parts can be designed in a drafting software then sent to the included computer where its turned into a set of movement instructions for all the motors responsible for moving the gantry around the table. The level of precision possible with a machine like this is incredible, not to mention part repeatability.

Tay went back and forth about this move for quite a while but having been a fabricator for almost 15 years, he saw how a machine like this can do things that are either too time consuming or just plain impossible by hand. We are so stoked to see what becomes possible here at the studio with a machine like this. What should we build first?
