Part 1 – Milling a knife from tool steel with the High-Z CNC milling machine from CNC-STEP https://www.cnc-step.com/cnc-router/. More about milling metals https://www.cnc-step.com/metal-milling/
The precise milling of steel requires a stable and therefore highly precise CNC machine. With the High-Z S-1000/T we are showing that even high-strength 1.2510 / 1.2842 tool steel with a tensile strength of approx. 740 N / mm² is no problem for our machines. The price for such a machine starts at around 2500 EUR.
In order to achieve perfect results, variables such as milling cutters, machine parameters and a perfect design of the CNC milling machine must be in harmony with one another.
Do you want to mill steel? We have the right milling tools for every task leaving a top surface on your workpiece!
