Watchmaking Vlog Episode 51
In this watchmaking episode get tooled up, and start producing brass blanks which are going to be used to make my watch parts. Hopefully I will start to prototype my watch case in the next few months.
The finishing the milling cutter leaves is definitely not desirable for a watch, so in the future I will be undersizing the recesses and will do a final finishing pass on the watchmakers lathe.
I hope you enjoyed this episode, it was exciitng for me to see a prototype of the mainplate come to life, from my initial design using Fusion 360 to using the Bantam CNC machine to cut it out of brass. The next episode will be more watchmaking where I make the wheel bridges of my watch.
